Utilities Infrastructure
RA Smith has included the installation of Utility Infrastructure in its portfolio consistently throughout its history. This includes:
- Conduit bank installations for communications services (Phone; NBN; etc.)
- Conduits and direct buried power services
- Gas services
- Etc.
The inclusion of these installation services enables RA Smith to provide turnkey solutions to its clients whenever multiple in-ground service requirements exist, which is advantageous in minimising client interface risks and optimising work crew efficiencies thanks to opportunities with techniques such as combined trench installations.
The installation of different services requires coordination in terms of depths, spacings, backfill materials and the like, to ensure all completed works comply with differing Authority requirements. Close monitoring and management of these installations is undertaken by our highly experienced Supervisors, and the execution of the often complex excavation requirements is ably completed thanks to the skills and experience of our directly employed excavator operators and the accompanying labour resources.
