Pressure Pipelines

Pressure Pipelines

RA Smith has a proud history delivering pressure pipelines within Potable and Recycled Water and Sewer networks. Our highly skilled and experienced installation teams understand the complexities and nuances associated with the successful delivery of pressure pipelines based on all sizes, types and materials.

Our specialist Pipeline installation teams are fully accredited and possess significant experience in all manner of pipe sizes and materials. Their attention to detail during the installation process ensures that when it comes time for pressure testing, failures of installations are unusual – the exception rather than the norm.

RA Smith has delivered projects and programmes of work which involved the installation of the following pipe types and sizes:

  • Mild steel cement-lined (MSCL) from 100mm to 2,000mm diameter
  • Ductile Iron Cement-lined (DICL) from 100mm to 1,200mm diameter
  • Medium density polyethylene (MDPE) from 25mm to 1200mm diameter
  • High-density polyethylene (HDPE) from 25mm to 1200mm diameter
  • Poly-vinyl chloride (PVC) from 20mm to 450mm diameter

In all of the above cases, projects have typically included the need to integrate fittings and other equipment into the pipelines during construction and these would include some of the following:

  • Pressure-reducing valves
  • Fittings and valves
  • Flow measurement equipment
  • Pipeline Access Structures

Collectively the different aspects noted above combine to provide comprehensive and reliable water pipeline networks, and RA Smith has achieved exceptional results delivering projects of this nature in urban, semi-urban and rural environments where the specific requirements can differ significantly.
